The SSB Yamaha Custom Showdown presented by Yamaha is in full swing for the 2012 season.  Winners can earn cash, trophies, and free MotoGP tickets.

Amateurs can submit their bikes online where 150 entrants will be given a pair of 3-day passes to a U.S. MotoGP race, 20 other entrants will be invited to bring their bikes to two Custom Bike Shows that will be held at US. MotoGP races.  Once at the Custom Bike Show Event, the motorcycles will be judged in one of three classes:  Best R1, Best R6 and the Open Class.  Not only will they have a chance to win a trophy; Yamaha Parts & Accessories will be giving away up to $500.00 in gift cards.  Each entrant will also receive $300.00 in show money.  Once the two winners from the Bike Show’s are determined, there will be a national online contest to award the “Amateur Builder of the Year” a $1000.00 cash prize and a feature article in Super Streetbike magazine.

The pro builders class will have the fans voting for their favorite professionally built custom motorcycle and will be competing for a $5000 in cash prizes and a brand new YZF-R1 will go to the builder who attends both shows and receives the highest amount of votes.
