Harley-Davidson motorcycle rentals have been added to the Enterprise Rental Car Fleet in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tourists looking to visit the Grand Canyon, Hoover Damn, Lake Mead or just drive down the strip can rent any one of the five current Harley-Davidson models available.
The initial fleet of Harley motorcycle rentals available includes the Street Glide, Road Glide Custom, Electra Glide Classic, Electra Guide Ultra Limited, and the Road Glide Ultra models. By the end of November 2013, the fleet will also include Fat Boy Lo and Heritage Softail Classic Harley models. No plans are set to add other manufacturers’ models at this time (like the Honda Goldwing or the Kawasaki Concourse) but Enterprise is not ruling them out.
Eagle Rider Adventures was the only game in town until Enterprise came along, which will give consumers more options at motorcycle rentals. Eagle Rider offers package deals and more brands of motorcycles that may be more attractive to tourists who are unfamiliar with the territory, but it may be worth looking into both companies if the price is right.
Tourists traveling to Las Vegas and then interested renting a motorcycle from Enterprise must provide a valid motorcycle license. There is no need to bring a helmet however; Enterprise will provide a helmet free of charge as helmets are mandatory in the State of Nevada.
Enterprise is the first car rental company to offer motorcycle rentals. Based on the success or failure of this pilot program, along with feedback from consumers, will determine if this will be the beginning of a new trend for car rental companies or just a fleeting moment.
