American Honda Motor Corporation has been selling the Shadow 750 line of cruisers since 1983. The 2013 model year will offer consumers four different variations of the v-twin, 750cc cruiser. All four models have their own unique features that appeal to different tastes in riding style and looks. The basics in each of the motorcycles in the Shadow 750 line-up are similar, making it easier to choose among four different bikes without have to think about brakes, transmissions, shocks, and fuel injection.
The four different models in the 2013 Honda Shadow 750 Line-up are the Aero, Spirit, RS and Phantom. All the Shadow 750’s share the following qualities:
1. 745cc Liquid-Cooled 52 degree V-Twin Engine
2. Programmed Fuel Injection
3. Five Speed Transmission
4. Front Disc Brakes
5. Rear Drum Brakes
6. Dual Shocks with 5 position spring-load adjustability and 3.5 inches of travel
7. One-year Factory Warranty
When looking to purchase a motorcycle, consumers are often looking for fuel injection, liquid or air-cooled engines, transmission size, drum or disc brakes, and maintenance schedules and requirements. Knowing that all four of the Shadow 750’s are basically built on the same foundation prevents consumers from getting overwhelmed with researching the mechanical details and instead focus on comfort and looks.
The Shadow 750 Aero
The Shadow 750 Aero is for someone looking for the classic retro look. The color choices are either Black or Metallic Silver/Pearl White. With spoke wheels, full fenders and long chromed mufflers this is a modern 750 with a retro look.
The Shadow 750 Spirit
The Shadow 750 Spirit boasts the super low seat height of 25.7 inches. Sitting flat-footed boosts the confidence of many a 750 rider. With a long lean look leading up to the 21-inch front wheel, this is a great looking bike in either color choice of Black or Ultra Blue Metallic Flame.
The Shadow 750 RS
The Shadow 750 RS is a classic roadster. For someone looking to ride in a more upright position, this Shadow 750 version has footpegs that are shorter and higher set and flatter seat and upright handlebars. Only available in Black, the RS offers an athletic riding position with a roadster look.
The Shadow 750 Phantom
The Shadow 750 Phantom stands out with a blacked out engine. Matte silver highlights are on the spoke blacked-out rims; a black frame and black handlebars are all part of the Phantom. Finished off with bobbed fenders and a throaty sounding dual exhaust, this is one cool motorcycle.
