The Annual International Motorcycle Show

Every year, around October, motorcycle manufacturers hold dealer conventions so dealers can get their first look at the new product line-up for the up-coming year.  Then starting in November, the International Motorcycle Show begins its cross-country tour across the United States to display the product for consumers to see all under one roof.  This show isn’t just about new product though, entertainment is often provided in the form of stunt riding and local dealers have booths to sell their parts and accessories, sometimes at greatly discounted prices.  There are also a variety of seminars that hit on some topics including; current legislation affecting the motorcycle industry, safety issues, kids riding, maintenance and insurance.  Women can find an entire area geared towards them, with specific information on products designed for women as well as an opportunity to develop a connection with other women riders

Often held over the course of a weekend, motorcycle enthusiasts are given the opportunity to not only view the new product, but also actually touch, feel and sit on the motorcycles, ATV’s, utility vehicles and scooters. The major manufacturers with displays include Harley, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, BRP, Triumph and Ducati.  You can find experts on the products located at their booths, including R&D and Tech staff, as well as local dealership personnel to answer your questions.

Starting on the West Coast in November, consumers get the chance to check out all the new bikes before they hit the showroom floors. Moving to the Midwest in the cold months of January and February, this event gives consumers the chance to start to feel warm again, knowing riding season is only a few months away.  The show ends in Daytona during the month of March, just in time for Bike Week and the start of spring.

It truly is an event for the entire family.  You can often get coupons for discounted tickets at local dealers, or you can click on this link to buy your tickets on-line: http://www.motorcycleshows.com/buytickets and get the dates of the show nearest you.

For consumers, this is the perfect opportunity to compare products in one place instead of going from dealership to dealership.  If you have been riding for years or just considering entering the world of power sports, this would be a great place to start.
