Select 2013 Polaris Snowmobiles Recalled

Polaris is working in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission by voluntarily recalling approximately 82 Pro-RMK 2013 Polaris Snowmobiles due to an “injury, death hazard”.  Polaris has notified registered consumers to stop using the snowmobiles and have informed Polaris dealers that these snowmobiles are not to be sold until the necessary repairs have been completed.

Although there have not been any incidents reported as of today, the snowmobiles are being recalled because the front, lower left shock bolt can fail and cause the operator to lose control of the vehicle. The recall specifically involves three different model numbers of the 2013 Polaris snowmobiles.

The model numbers affected by the recall include:

Model                                    Description

1)      S13CG6GSA                    The 600 PRO RMK 155

2)      S13CH8GSA                    The 800 PRO RMK 163

3)      S13CH8GSL                    The 800 PRO RMK 163 ES

The serial number and model number are located on the right hand side of the tunnel below the seat. On the lower right and left sides of the hood is “Pro-RMK”, while on the upper right and left sides of the hood is engine size and the letters “ES” or the words “Limited Edition”. Also, at the rear of the tunnel the numbers “155” or “163” will be visible.  All of the recalled snowmobiles are red, white and black in color.

Repairs should be completed only at Authorized Polaris Snowmobile Dealerships and will be done so free of charge.
