Kawasaki Engines Recalled Due To Fire Hazard

The U.S. Consumer Safety Commission along with Health Canada and Kawasaki Motor Corp. USA has recalled over 200,000 Kawasaki engines due to a fuel filter leak that may cause a fire.  The Kawasaki engines are used in various riding and walk-behind lawn mowers that are used in over 20 different brand name mowers and model designations include FH, FR, FS and FX series engines.  Please note that some of these motors may have also been purchased independently of a vehicle and therefore concerned consumers who have a Kawasaki engine but do not see their vehicle listed, should contact Kawasaki Motors at 866-836-4463 or visit the website www.kawpower.com.

The Kawasaki engines were used in vehicles sold between October 2011 and August of 2012 and the price range is anywhere from $2000 to $10000.
