With spring right around the corner, now might be a good time to not only think about riding but taking an on-line course to improve your riding skills. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) has released four free courses onto the iTunes U store. Motorcycle riders can take these courses from the comfort of their couch as long as they have a computer or tablet.
The Four Motorcycle Training Courses on iTunes U
1. “An Adventure in Motorcycle Physics” – this course provides information on handling, braking, grip and traction distribution.
2. “Dr. Ray’s Street Strategies” – this information comes from the MSF recommendations in the American Motorcyclist Magazine.
3. “Dr. Ray’s Guide to Group Riding” – is just what it sounds like, riding with other motorcyclists whether locally or on long road trips.
4. “Dr. Ray’s Seasoned Riders” – this course helps all motorcyclists remain safe on the road no matter how much experience they have nor how long they have been riding.
Each motorcycle training course contains about 20 chapters, but there is plenty of other digital and online training and services for motorcycle riders if you check out the MSF website at http://online2.msf-usa.org/.
