Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. is offering an additional $1000 trade-in (in addition to what the dealership will give you) during their GSX-R Loyalty Trade-In Event.
In the aftermath of the massive recall involving the brakes on the GSX-R600, GSX-R750 and GSX-R1000 (going back to model year 2004), this may just be the shot in the arm Suzuki needs to make their customers happy and sell more sport bikes. With an offer this good, consumers in the colder states that have been considering trading in their sport bikes for a newer, faster model might not want to wait until spring.
The Event works like this:
Trade in: Purchase: Suzuki Bonus
2005-2013 GSX-R600 2013 or Newer GSX-R750 $1000
2004-2013 GSX-R750 2013 or Newer GSX-R1000 $1000
2004-2013 GSX-R1000 2013 or Newer BUSA $1000
The only restriction is that current GSX-R600 owners cannot purchase another GSX-R600 – they must trade up!
Suzuki is the first to offer such a large bonus. Yamaha Motor Corporation has offered $500.00 trade-in credits without any restrictions – customers could trade in anything for a Yamaha and get an additional $500.00. It probably won’t be long before Kawasaki and Honda come up with their own trade-in incentives as well.
The GSX-R Loyalty Trade-In Event runs through December 31, 2013 at authorized Suzuki motorcycle dealerships.
