2012 Triumph Motorcycles Introduces the Steve McQueen Bonneville Edition

With 2012 upon us, Triumph has introduced three new models to the motorcycle market that are sure to please.  The Tiger Explorer, due to release in May; the Speed Triple R ABS, due to release in March; and the Steve McQueen Edition T100 Bonneville will be available in June.

The Tiger Explorer will enter the market at a price point of $15,699.  This motorcycle signifies the entry of Triumph into the adventure touring market. You can find an electronic ABS braking system, traction control and cruise control all coming straight from the factory on this motorcycle.  This 1215cc bike with a three-cylinder engine comes with a wide range of accessories and options including high and low seat options, heated accessories and high power fog lights.

Coming in at $15,999, the Speed Triple R ABS is being released as the premium version of the Speed Triple. With classy metallic paint, a red sub frame and custom graphics, this bike is a head-turner.  More importantly, the “R” notation is a step above the standard Speed Triple, taking handling to another level.  With an Öhlins front and rear suspension, Brembo monobloc brakes and PVM forged aluminum wheels not only does this bike look great it handles great too.

Finally, The Steve McQueen Bonneville T100 will be on showroom floors in June of 2012. If this bike is one you are considering, you may not want to wait to long to order yours.  Not only does it come at a great starting price of $9999, but Triumph is only producing 1100 of these bikes. Along with an 865cc parallel twin engine, modified parts and a vintage color scheme, the buyer will also get a certificate of authenticity with their purchase.  Inspired by the Triumph Trophy TR6 from the famous stunt scene in the movie The Great Escape, this classic looking bike also bears the actor’s signature on the side covers.
