AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days

The American Motorcyclist Association will be holding their annual AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days from July 20th through July 22nd in Lexington, Ohio.  Proceeds from this event will go to support the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame while the event is a celebration of vintage motorcycles and motorcycling heritage.

New for this year, KTM will be joining the festivities by offering Demo rides on several XC and XCW off-road bikes on the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course infield.  Riders wishing to take a demo ride must be 18 years of age with a photo id, and have their own helmet, eye protection, gloves, motorcycle boots and long pants; not required, but recommended would be the addition of knee guards, a jersey and elbow pads.

As in the past, street motorcycle demo rides will also be available.  Vintage class racing to watch that weekend will include amateur national championship road racing, Motocross, hare scrambles, trials and dirt-track racing.  Attendees also have a chance to see the largest motorcycle swap meet in North America, bike shows or even attend motorcycle seminars given by industry experts.

AMA members can purchase tickets until May 28, 2012 for a discount by calling 800-262-5646 and kids 12 and under get in for free with a paying adult.
