The Yamaha Warrior – ATV or Motorcycle? Actually it is both. The Yamaha Warrior 350 is the mid-range, sport atv that Yamaha produced until 2004. The Yamaha Road Star Warrior was produced in 2008 and 2009 as part of the Yamaha RoadStar family of cruiser motorcycles.

The Yamaha Road Star Warrior

The Yamaha Road Star Warrior is one of many different models in the line-up of Yamaha Star Motorcycles. The smallest of Star Motorcycles is the V-Star 250, a lightweight cruiser designed for the beginner just getting into motorcycles. For the 2015 model year, not including the V-Star 250, there are an additional 21 more models (that’s not including color combinations). Missing from the 2015 line-up however, is the Yamaha Warrior. A beautiful motorcycle, the Yamaha Road Star Warrior is a 1700cc motorcycle with an all-aluminum chassis and an air-cooled, fuel-injected v-twin engine. You can still buy a Roadstar Warrior, albeit used, from dealers and private sellers. The Yamaha Roadstar Warrior was replaced with the Yamaha Raider, although both were produced in 2009, the Warrior was discontinued and the Raider is still available today.

The Yamaha Warrior 350

The Yamaha Warrior 350 is a mid-range sport atv that was produced from 1987 through 2004 and was than replaced with the Yamaha Raptor 350. The Yamaha Warrior 350 was a solid, popular machine by all accounts. The Yamaha Warrior 350 was the first ever electric atv in production and came with a six-speed transmission, 350cc four-stroke engine and enough travel to pull through muddy situations, the competition at the time were models with five-speed transmissions and a kick start. Parts are still available through Yamaha and aftermarket companies to keep these quads going and you can still find some decent used ones on ebay, craigslist and atvtraderonline. The warrior tire wrapped around a 22 inch aluminum wheel designed for speed and agility.
